Questions

Does Etsy take 6.5% of shipping?

Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee is charged on the item price, the shipping you charge and gift wrap. Payment processing (4% + €0.30) and the 1.97% regulatory fee use the same base.

Why are total Etsy fees above 6.5%?

6.5% is only the transaction fee. Processing, the regulatory fee, the listing fee and 27% ÁFA on all of them come on top. On a €30.00 item with €6.00 shipping the fees are €6.31 without an EU VAT ID and €4.97 with one, because an EU VAT ID removes the ÁFA.

Where do the date and the listing rate come from?

The rates were read from the Etsy pages linked in the table on 9 Oct 2026. The 22 June 2026 start of the regulatory fee is the date Etsy gives. The $0.20 listing fee is shown in euro at PayoutKeep’s profile rate of $1 = €0.92, read the same day. Etsy converts at its own rate, so your bill can differ slightly.
